RayNeo iO, GT and GT Max: everything we know before IFA 2026

All three go on sale on September 4, 2026, the day IFA opens in Berlin, where RayNeo will be in Hall 21A through the 8th. Two deliberately opposite product lines: 33-gram glasses built to disappear, and two pairs of cinema glasses projecting up to a 307-inch virtual screen.

This is not a crowdfunding promise. RayNeo ships more consumer AR glasses than anyone else — 23.7% of global shipments in Q1 2026 by the company's own figures.

The short version

RayNeo iO: glasses designed to disappear

33 grams is the headline. Ray-Ban Meta are around 50; Engadget calls the Meta Ray-Ban Display flatly "chunky". The iO weighs about what ordinary spectacles do.

The display is a diffractive monochrome green waveguide with 97% optical transparency and 1,300 nits at eye level, driven by a 0.085 cc Firefly Nano engine. At 23.5° the field of view is modest by design: this is for captions, directions and answers layered over what you are already looking at, not for watching films.

Build quality is serious: AZ91D magnesium-aluminium chassis, aerospace-grade titanium temples, IP54, and Bluetooth 5.4 with Apple MFi licensing.

RayNeo AI and Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite are included free. A $9.99/month tier unlocks Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude and DeepSeek — the first time consumer glasses have openly charged a subscription for the brain.

The real selling point is translation. RayNeo partnered with Timekettle to run BabelOS 3.0: 55 languages, 109 accents, roughly one second of latency, with subtitles rendered on the lens. Battery holds 6.2 hours of continuous translation or 18 hours of continuous recording. There is also an auto-teleprompter and a four-mic array with a bone-conduction sensor.

Two real drawbacks. There are no speakers — only a bone-conduction microphone. Engadget considers this a design failure, calling a speaker "a requirement on everyday smart glasses." No music, no spoken answers, no calls: everything happens on the lens. And there is no camera, which cuts both ways — no photos, but also none of the privacy problem that follows the Ray-Ban Meta around.

GT and GT Max: unapologetic personal cinema

The GT Max runs 120 Hz Micro-OLED at 59°, scaling the virtual screen to 227 inches at 85%, 267 at 100% and 307 inches at 115%, through a Peacock Original Engine 3.0 Max. The GT stops at 46° and 231 inches.

Both carry four Bang & Olufsen speakers with head-tracked spatial audio, a Vision 4000 image processor and a Zone 360 3DoF chip. Both are the first AR glasses with native Dolby Vision playback, with AI HDR conversion. GT Max comes in three IPD sizes (S under 64 mm, M 64–67, L over 67), and both take official prescription inserts.

Their competition is the XREAL One Pro and Viture Luma Pro, not Ray-Ban Meta.

Why two opposite lines at once

Founder and CEO Howie Li frames it as deliberate: the iO is "an invisible, all-day assistant" and the GT Series is "uncompromising personal cinema for travel and entertainment." One line strips hardware away until it vanishes; the other adds it because the screen and the sound are the product.

Buying from Europe: read this first

Sold through RayNeo's own site and Amazon from September 4. RayNeo runs a European store at eu.rayneo.com with euro pricing and an EU warehouse.

⚠️ Watch out for clones. Domains like rneotech.shop and rayneoglobal.shop pose as "RayNeo Europe". The official one is eu.rayneo.com.

Three things to know:

1. There is no euro price yet. $479 is the pre-tax US figure.
2. RayNeo's warranty is one year. Spanish law grants three. Buying from the brand's own store, you absorb that gap. Buying on Amazon in Spain, the seller is bound by Spanish rules.
3. RayNeo's EU store does not cover duties. Its shipping policy states orders "may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT)" and that the company is not responsible for them.

How it compares

The iO goes head to head with the Even Realities G2, $120 dearer but with a slightly wider field of view and — importantly — manufacturer-documented language support, feature by feature. RayNeo has not published its full list of 55 languages.

What we still don't know

GT and GT Max pricing. Euro pricing for all three. The full language list. Whether RayNeo will sell through Amazon Spain. And how any of it performs: everything above comes from RayNeo's launch materials, and nobody has independently tested these glasses. Claims about legibility, comfort and translation quality remain unverified.
